The University of Louisville has a campus network that spans three major campus and several other remote locations. The network consists of a router based TCP/IP network which is connected to the Louisville Academic Medical Center (LAMC) and the Kentucky Educational Computing Network (KECNET). The Internet, Internet2, Kentucky Regional Optical Network (KyRON), and the Kentucky Postsecondary Education Network (KPEN) are reachable via KECNet.
